Descendants of Light
The men and women present for the creation of Langrisser became recognized as the descendants of light, the sword would only accept one of them or their descendants. Many of them would go on to serve the Elthlead Royal Family. They were guided by Lushiris’ avatar Jessica.
However, in times when there is a need for Langrisser but no Descendant of Light to wield it, the sword, because Sieghart's soul was imprinted on the sword it can choose a temporary bearer, such was the case with Landius.
Grove during the time of Langrisser IV&V set out to destroy the Descendants of Light, killing at the very least the Kaiser of Kalxath, he had hoped to end the line of Egil and Kalxath. It's unknown if he was any more successful.
