Leon is the youngest and most powerful of the four generals of the Rayguard Empire. He has absolute faith in Kaiser Bernhardt and believes the former mercenary is the only man capable of bringing peace to the continent of El Sallia.
He is a direct descendant of Diehärte, and therefore a distant cousin of Erwin and a Descendant of Light. His heirloom sword is the Kotetsu (虎徹), passed down through the Klaus family by Diehärte.
In some endings, his loyalty leads to his downfall and he follows the defeated Kaiser to be sucked into a dimensional rift.
Mega Drive
- Leon bet everything on Bernhardt's vision of a unified continent. His character and deeds made him popular with his subordinates. But Leon began a path of decline when the empire's plans were interrupted by Erwin. He was unable to defeat the upstart and his many powerful allies. Realizing the Empire was at its end, Leon chose to follow Bernhardt to his fate.
