Lester is a former pirate and friend of Keith.
As a nine-year-old boy, he was almost killed during a pirate battle but was saved by Jessica. Having never forgotten her kindness, he gives up his life on the high seas to defend her after she casts the Rebirth spell and loses most of her magic.
As a pirate, he was an able seaman able to navigate the roughest waters and an unmatched force in naval combat. He joins Erwin after Egbert attempts to kill Jessica after she reveals the resting place of the Dark Rod.
