Tiana was a knight of the kingdom of Salem which had been destroyed. Acting upon the final request of the king, she took the prince, Zion and raised him as her son until the kingdom of Salem could be restored. Her fellow warrior-in-arms, Luqman also helped to train the prince in swordplay.
When the ranch she raised him on was raided by bandits they are greeted by a pair of twins who reveal that a treasure was stolen from their village.
Seeing so many events happen at once, Tiana decides that its time to reveal to Zion his true identity seeing the recovery of the treasure as a perfect test to whether he is ready to be king or not.
